The Semele Project

Opera in Space was founded with the aim of rethinking the performance of operatic repertory and exploring new perspectives in its realisation on stage. We aim to break traditional hierarchies in the creation of operatic work, and to collaborate as a collective.

In celebration of the performer, our productions draw on and develop an extraordinary breadth of skills. Simple and honest productions bring to fore the performers voices, bodies and interactions with the space.
